【学术报告】Minimizers of Mass Subcritical Fermi Systems with Coulomb Potential

报告摘要:

It is known in Quantum Physics that almost all elementary quantum many-body particles in nature are divided fundamentally into two classes, i.e., bosons and fermions, in terms of the spin quantum numbers. Variational problems of quantum bosons were investigated widely over the past few decades. In this talk we focus on variational problems of mass subcritical quantum Fermi systems with interactions. The existence of minimizers is discussed in terms of the strengthen for the system's interactions, based on which we further investigate the limiting behavior of minimizers.

报告人简介:

郭玉劲,教授,博士生导师,华中师范大学数学与统计学学院院长,国家杰出青年基金及优秀青年基金获得者、中国科学院“百人计划”(优秀)入选者。主要研究非线性泛函分析中的变分理论及其在非线性偏微分方程、数学物理等领域的应用,先后在微机电系统MEMS方程、质量临界约束变分理论、量子多体系统分析等方面做出过一系列具有国际影响力的科研成果。在美国数学会出版一部英文研究专著【Courant Lecture Notes in Math. 20】,在Comm. Pure Appl. Math.、Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.、Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.、J. Math. Pures Appl.、Ann. Inst. H. Poincaré Anal. Non Linéaire、Proc. Royal Soc. London Ser. A、SIAM J. Math. Anal.、Nonlinearity、J. Funct. Anal.、JDE、CVPDE等数学期刊上发表50余篇学术论文。
